Radiation therapy affects cancer cells only in the subject area. The radiation may be a machine or the marketing of substances, radiation by thin plastic tubes in the area where cancer cells are found.
Anticancer drugs can be used to kill cancer cells throughout the body. This as chemotherapy and involves the management of drugs by injection into a vein (intravenously or IV). Currently, doctors are also studying the effectiveness of the implementation of chemotherapy directly into the chest or abdomen.
